We had a glorious trip in mid-April. The weather was warm and sunny with snow on the mountains. The trip made our holiday and we will long remember it. Many thanks for a great experience and the friendly crew.

October isn’t the best time of year for seeing wildlife but that really didn’t matter. Our trip on Bella Jane to Loch Coruisk was perfect, right from the word go. Once on board our guide briefly described the local geography, geology, history – both natural and otherwise – with a professional verve and enthusiasm, and a lightness of touch, that could neither bore nor bemuse. And what a good idea – after the walk around the loch – to provide a revitalising hot drink on the return leg of the journey. As for the wildlife, it was better than I expected; lots of common seals, several bird species and the bonus of a brief cameo appearance by two golden eagles. And I now understand for the first time – again thanks to our guide – why seals lie banana-like on rocks in the way that they do. A great trip!

Thanks for such a terrific trip last wednesday. The Skipper's knowledge was absolutely first class. Having a full day to see the different islands and wildlife (Seals, Porpoise and Sea Eagles) as well as a terrific trip around Kinlock Castle made it well worth the money. If you're as lucky with the weather as we were, you'll have a terrific time

Only 1 word : SUPERB!!!! We went on the puffin run with Aquaxplore yesterday and we saw a lot more than we were expecting to see! Small list of what we saw : porpoises, dolphins, 2 minky whales, lots of different seabirds, lots of puffins, sea eagle, deer, common & grey seal ... Just fantastic! I'm glad my camera took prove of what we have seen - otherwise some people might think I'm just exaggerating :-) Thanks to all - fantastic team! We will be back.

We had a fabulous time last week on the trip to the small isles. I have the most amazing photograph of dolphins who came so near our boat I thought i could have reached out and touched them. It was the most fantastic trip.
I was talking to my husband last night again about it all and we came up with the list of what we'd seen. Jerry is a keen birdwatcher and was thrilled with what we saw.

We came to Skye last year and went out on the Bella Jane to Loch Coruisk
which was fantastic. The loch is like a secret in the hills and is so beautiful and peaceful it's hard to describe.

This year we came back to Skye and decided to go out again from Elgol. On
our trip to the Small Isles on Aquaxplore on 5th June we saw:

Amazing views of the Cuillins

Porpoises
Gannets
Red deer (Hinds and young)
Eider ducks
Shelducks
Grey and common seals
Red throated divers
Puffins
Guillemots
Razorbills
Shag (Cormorants)
Herring gulls
Black backed gulls
Common gulls
Fulmars

Approaching Canna

The dolphins- must have been more than twenty (see photo)

On Canna

Oyster catchers
Greylag Geese
A golden eagle

The weather was brilliant and the sea calm and blue. We decided not to get
off at Rum but to continue to Canna, which was a good decision for us. The
people who did get off at Rum really enjoyed it and it sounded like it needs
another trip sometime for us.

The Aquaxplore staff were great on the boat and at the office. We took their advice the following day and visited Kylerhea to see the otter hide and go across to Glenelg on the lovely little ferry. We had a wonderful visit to Skye and have now recovered from the sunburn enough to tell
everyone what they are missing by going abroad.

We too went to Canna on Thursday 31st of May, and had an unforgetable day, with the weather, the wildlife, the boat and the skipper. But we also went on the same trip on Tuesday, a good journey to Soay, a slightly more choppy one across to Rum, and then as the wind got up we got soaked going across to Canna. One American lady found this rather too much and wanted to return to Elgol immediately. The skipper took us back as smoothly as possible, and met the Bella Jane at Lock Coruisk, where she got off. He then took us round the loch to see seals the bad step etc. Our children, 10 and 8 who had found the whole trip exciting were dissappointed not to see the bird cliffs at Canna. When we mentioned this at the Kiosk, we were told we could come again on Thursday. so we had two wonderful and very different trips in three days. Thank you.

My Family and I went to Loch Coruisk (second time for me on Bella Jane) on the 29th of May. Excelent crew (again) and what a place the Loch is! We then went on the Small Isles cruise on AquaExplore on the Thursday (31/05/07) it was 4 hrs of excitement (very fast but safe boats) and very informative and friendly Skipper! We saw a amaizing views and geology, Porpoise, Seals and many types of sea birds. Well worth the money and a must for keen photographers! My pics are brill !! Thank you and will be cruising with you again!

Last October, I bought a friend to Elgol for the first time, and took advantage again of travelling with you on Bella Jayne to the edge of The Cullins. This was the 4th time I had personnally done it and every time the weather has been outstanding. Myfriend thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back. Back again for another trip to Rum, Canna and Soay one of the highlights of our visits to skye. Although we just missed the Puffins we saw Dolphins and Porpoises between the islands.
On our last day we decided to come back for a relaxing afternoon and take the Bella Jane trip to Loch Coruisk. A nice sunny day, between the showers, with lots of seals to be seen.

See you next year.

Just a few words to say how impressed we all were with your boat trips
to Loch Coruisk. We sailed with you - 4 adults two children and a dog, last Friday.
The refreshments were a lovely litle treat and most welcome.
What really warmed our hearts, however, was the wonderful experience you
gave to kids on the trip by letting them 'skipper' the boat - and to cap
it all the lovely surprise of the certificates given at the end. Our
grandson Cameron (11), as is usual with him, was too bashful to accept
the offer on the outward trip but had second thoughts on the homeward
trip and his dad asked Allun if Cam could have a go. He must have spent
a good twenty minutes or more at the helm on the way back - and was so
thrilled. All these kids I'm sure will remember and treasure their
experiences - we know that Cameron will !

I sincerely hope we sail with you again.

Thank you so much and very best wishes from us all.

If you're thinking of going on this trip, do it! We had a glorious day on Rhum, visiting Kinloch Castle and picnicing with fantastic views back to the Cuillins. A school of dolphins played with the boat on the way back for a good quarter of an hour. Other passengers saw whales near Canna that day. As if that wasn't enough, the friendly staff looked after my dog!
