Wildlife on the trip to Loch Coruisk: Seeing the seals is virtually guaranteed but please remember that you are unlikely to see Dolphins, Basking Sharks, Whales or Puffins on this trip although we have occasional sightings each year. Coruisk has fascinated visitors for generations and deservedly enjoys a magical and mysterious reputation, even in changeable weather. During the journey to the loch we'll visit the famous Seal colony as well as glimpsing a variety of other wild and sea life (see Wildlife note below).

Our boat & Facilities: the "Bella Jane" is a safe modern and seaworthy vessel licenced for full offshore operation and with a comprehensive range of safety equipment. It is a Lochin 38, a classic design built to the highest possible standards and with all the facilities you should expect for your safety and comfort including on-board toilet, all-weather canopy, indoor wheelhouse seating and shower capes - for those occasional changeable weather days!

Unique service and flexibility - choose whatever type and length of trip suits you from 1½ hours to a full day (8hrs) and with our flexitrip if you change your mind you can return earlier or later if you wish. All our trips (return and one-way) include free a choice of freshly made hot and cold refreshments and shortbread, and other snacks are also available. Wildlife Update: Now is peak season for wildlife! - LOTS of Basking Sharks plus Minke Whales, Dolphins, & lots of Puffins & seals!

AquaXplore: Basking sharks are now regular sightings around the Isles of Canna and Rum. 50-60 together have been seen on some recent trips and we have seen sharks jumping out of the water on 2 occasions - a tremendous sight! Some great sightings too of Minke Whales and large pods of Common Dolphins. Also lots of Puffins are still nesting on Canna. Other regular sightings include Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, and many seabirds such as Guillemots, Razorbills, Terns etc plus Porpoise, and of course grey and harbour seals.

Bella Jane: Only the occasional cetacean inshore still but as usual we are seeing lots of common/harbour seals near to Coruisk, enjoying the sunshine and the seal pups have now arrived! 18th July.
